Contract value £550,000
Completed 2021
Our client for this project was a young adult with cerebral palsy and involved extensively remodelling and extending the house to form a new accessible bedroom and bathroom, as well as accommodation for the carers. We remodelled the kitchen, built a new lounge and extensive works were completed on the extremities of the property.
The most challenging aspect of this project was the deadline of getting the family in their home by Christmas, whilst dealing with appalling weather and the difficulties brought about by the Covid-19 pandemic. With a fantastic client and contractor, we managed to get this over the line and to an exceptional level of finish.
With all our projects we try and maximise the architectural joy and delight from what could be just ordinary spaces. By opening up roof voids and expressing structure and form, we get light and space for free.
A pink door, bedroom walls and tiles were the order of the day for this client and we made sure we delivered!
